MANAGEMENT TIPS
Sowing Depth:
Sowing depth should be no greater than 10mm.
Inoculation:
All Group C.
Fertiliser:
• Soil test should be taken on the paddock prior to planting and adjustment made accordingly.
• Sow with phosphorous and potassium based fertiliser, further applications can be applied moisture allowing.
Grazing:
• Lightly graze within 6 weeks of emergence to minimize weed competition. Increase stocking rate as food on offer increases.
• De-stock at commencement of flowering in YEAR ONE to maximise seed set.
• If not harvesting, reintroduce stock anytime after seed has matured.
• If intending to harvest advice on timing and machine settings is available from our office.
